Learn More about Rebecca Pollock

Rebecca’s abuse from her husband began on her wedding night and continued for 18 years until she escaped him in 1992 with her two sons to a domestic violence shelter, where she found solace. Thereafter, she would spend some time going to different churches that were very good, but because her husband would find her location, she would have to continuously move to escape from him. Until her husband’s death in 1995, Rebecca spent years looking over her shoulder, afraid she would see him again. “He always told me if you leave me, I will kill you.” Rebecca would reach a turning point at one of the churches where she finds her calling. “I made up my mind I was never going back to that house. It wasn’t just for myself; I wanted to make sure my children were safe.”
Since leaving her husband and creating a new life for her and her sons, Rebecca has given many speeches and appeared on several media platforms, speaking out on domestic violence. She offers a ray of hope for those who are suffering and have suffered from the horrors of abuse.
